What’s on tap for Broadway this season?
Variety is the spice of life and this will certainly be true this season on Broadway. Fans can choose from all sorts of newcomers, old-timers and revivals under the White Lights and on Broadway.
How about the music? The sound of Broadway this fall will include the music of Stephen Sondheim, Bob Dylan, Marvin Hamlisch, Tom Stoppard, George Bernard Shaw, Victor Hugo, P.L. Travers and Dr. Seuss just to name a few. As usual, musicals will dominate the scene.
“A Chorus Line” could be the season’s most important production. This is the show fans have been waiting for a long time and audiences have not been let down. This thing is “alive and kicking” says Scott Harrah of The Villager.
“Les Miserables” is also getting ready to set up barricades on Broadway this season. Set amidst comedy musicals such as Spamalot, Les Miz promises to offer audiences a larger-than-life, serious musical that has left audiences in awe for years.
This is an exciting time to be on Broadway and fans are fighting just for a space in line to pick up tickets. Variety is the name of the game this season and fans hoping to get Broadway Tickets need to act quickly. Though the show must go on, the tickets go fast and when they do, are gone for good.
