Television legend Daniel J. Travanti is throwing his hat into the theater ring with a debut performance in the musical entitled, The Last Word… a show that is set to debut on January 30 at the Theatre at St. Clement’s. Travanti will star as Henry Grunwald, a Jew who lived in Vienna who fled the Nazis and became a successful advertising executive in New York.
Travanti rose to fame as Frank Furillo on the smash hit television series Hill Street Blues, and has enjoyed a high level of success since then. However, Travanti’s first appearance on stage has energized him, and theater crowds should be ready for an emotional and intense performance.

Families love to celebrate the holidays with trips to the theater, and that trend proved to hold once again this year. Theaters were packed, and several big-time shows enjoyed crowds that set the revenue bar quite high for holiday seasons to come. In a piece published recently, several shows’ revenue numbers were broken down, and the undeniable inference that can be drawn is that Broadway remains a main draw for people everywhere.
If you’d like to get in on the action and enjoy a night of entertainment for the whole family, go to StubHub.com and choose from any number of Broadway tickets available.
Sir Paul McCartney has been busy, and more than one of his efforts have involved the theater. In his latest announcement, McCartney has told the world that he will serve as the musical director for a show about his life, entitled Liverpool Oratorio. McCartney wrote the work in 1991, and it’s getting set to be released on stage.
The plot is only loosely based on McCartney’s life, but the similarities are quite obvious. The main character, Shanty, is born in Liverpool in 1942 and marries his high school sweetheart. There are several other parallels, but we’d rather you head to StubHub.com to choose from any of several Broadway tickets.
