McCartney Getting Involved With a New Musical

Sir Paul McCartney has been busy, and more than one of his efforts have involved the theater.  In his latest announcement, McCartney has told the world that he will serve as the musical director for a show about his life, entitled Liverpool Oratorio.  McCartney wrote the work in 1991, and it’s getting set to be released on stage.

The plot is only loosely based on McCartney’s life, but the similarities are quite obvious.  The main character, Shanty, is born in Liverpool in 1942 and marries his high school sweetheart.  There are several other parallels, but we’d rather you head to StubHub.com to choose from any of several Broadway tickets.
