Broadway Bare’s 17th Show!

It has been announced that on June 17 “Broadway Bares XVII: Myth Behavior” will be presented in New York City at the Roseland Ballroom. The event will be hosted by Spamalot’s Christropher Sieber as well as Jersey Boy’s Daniel Reichard, both men serving as rotation masters for the happening. 

The “Broadway Bares” events were begun in 1992 and are fundraisers for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. 2007 Tony Award Winners!

Theater Fans’ Choice Awards Winners

The winners of the 5th Annual “Theater Fan’s Choice Awards” were announced yesterday, Thursday, June 7. A look at the Broadway season from the fans’ point of view, these awards are extra-special because they are chosen by those fans who keep shows running on Broadway.

Manhattan Theater Club Season

The Manhattan Theater Club has announced that Doug Hughes will directed the theater’s upcoming Broadway production of “Mauritius” a play by Theresa Rebeck. Hughes is the Tony Award-winnning director of such shows as “Doubt” and “Inherit the Wind.”

Theater World Awards

The Theater World Awards took place on Tuesday, June 5, 2007. Celebrating outstanding Broadway and Off-Broadway debut performances for the 2006-2007 season, this year’s awards were a night to be remembered, with Peter Filichia hosting and Barry Keating directing the festivities.
