Broadways Barks 9 a Huge Success!

The roaring success of the Broadway Barks 9 has been revealed, thanks perhaps in large part to the fact that the Saturday, July 14, 2007 event was attended by so many dog-loving celebrities. Hosted by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, this ninth annual event was also attended by dozens of Broadways brightest stars, from Angela Lansburty to Audra McDonald, Hary Hamlin and LIsa Rinna to David Hyde Pierce. Edward Hibbert attended as did Jason Danieley, and Michael McCormick was seen at the festivities along with Debra MOnk and Karen Ziemba. Jerry Mathers made sure to put in an apperance as did Paul Vogt while Priscilla Lopez and Mandy Gonzalez also made sure to attend. Mary Louise Wilson was seen at the event along with John McMartin and Maureen Moore and resident hotties Cheyenne Jackson and Kerry Butler were also on-hand, in addition to many other actors and personalities.

For its own part, Broadway Barks! is a dog-and-cat-adoption event that benefits New YOrk City aniaml shelters and adoption agencies. PRoduced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDs and sponsored by the ASPCA with additional sponsorship by the New York Times, Pedigree and RCA Small Wonder is an annual event presented to raise awareness regarding the many pets within New York City, and the rest of the country, that desperately need to be adopted.
