The former boy band member who once shared the stage with Justin Timberlake is going to be sharing the stage with a different crowd these days. It’s the 60’s crowd of the hit Broadway show, Hairspray and Lance Bass joins the cast on August 14 as Corny, the charismatic TV dance show host. The ‘N Sync bandmate is once again in unison with a singing and dancing sensation, and this time it doesn’t look like he’ll be going “bye, bye, bye” anytime soon. It is reported that he will retain the role through Jan. 6 2008.
Hairspray the Broadway hit that has been recently been released as a film starring John Travolta is celebrating its fifth anniversary on Broadway August 15. It follows the story of dance-obsessed Tracy Turnblad who is subsequently transformed from an overweight unknown fancy dancer to a bubbling teen celebrity. The play follows her rise to fame and her desire to find her place within the celebrity highlife and her determination to find true love.
