Jonathan Crombie Will Join the Drowsy Cast in Spring

The charismatic Canadian actor is back and he’s filling that overstuffed easy chair with his interpretation of the character, Man in Chair in Broadway’s hit musical, “The Drowsy Chaperone.”  Jonathan Crombie is widely known for his role as Gilbert Blythe in the popular Canadian mini-series “Anne of Green Gables.”  His first appearance in the smash hit musical about a man obsessed with Broadway shows was on March 13, 2007.  He retained the role for a little over a month until Tony Award winner took over the act for several months.  Glover’s last performance as Man in Chair will be on August 19.

The engaging Broadway show is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, a Tony Award nominee.  It includes music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison.  The story follows a depressed theater addict who one day plays his favorite LP, a rendition of the show “The Drowsy Chaperone” in his apartment only to have the musical come to life right before his very eyes.  Don’t miss out, have the show come to life before your eyes; get your Drowsy Chaperone tickets today!
