Mary Poppins Set to Sail to Chicago!

The word is quite literally flying through the theatre districts that the Broadway musical, Mary Poppins will kick off a national tour in 2009 starting in Chicago at the Cadillac Palace Theatre.  It seems that the entire original creative team will reunite for the upcoming tour.  The casting and additional tour dates will be announced later on, but news that this family-friendly production will be making its way around the country has excited the most dedicated theatre patrons.  In a recent press statement, producer Thomas Schumacher said, “We are overwhelmed by the outstanding success of Mary Poppins and the audience response to this timeless tale has been tremendous and we are so honored to have the opportunity to premiere the next steps of this phenomenal show in Chicago.
