Things are Shaking up in Spring Awakening!

Blake Bashoff will soon make his Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning hit musical Spring Awakening which is currently showing at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre on Broadway.  Bashoff who has starred in the television series “Lost” as well as “One Tree Hill” will take on the role of the ill-fated Moritz on December 18.  John Gallagher, Jr. who earned a much deserved Tony Award for his role as the character will play his final performance as Moritz on December 16.

Spring Awakening is based on the 1891 expressionist play by Frank Wedekind and it has gone on to win an impressive eight Tony Awards, including one for best musical.  In 2008 Spring Awakening is set to launch a national tour that will begin in San Francisco.  The casting for this tour is expected to be announced shortly, so if you are a theatre fan, be sure to keep your eyes and ears peeled for any new developments.  Spring Awakening is a glimpse into our recent history as well as a time to remember the troublesome days of our teenage youth.  Be sure to get your pair of Spring Awakening tickets from Stubhub.com.
