Kerry Butler Set to Release CD

One of the newest leading ladies on Broadway, Kerry Butler, is planning on releasing her debut solo recording later this year.  Although there is no specific date set for the CD to be released to music stores, there is speculation that it will be sometime in the spring.  She has already chosen her song list but one track will be selected by her most dedicated fans through a contest on her official website.  The contest will run through January 30 and the winner will have the chance to attend the recording session of that song and will also receive an autographed copy of the CD when it is released.

Kerry Butler currently stars on Broadway in the relatively new musical “Xanadu” as the character of Kira/Clio.  In a statement that was released on Playbill.com Butler said, “For a few years no I’ve been asked if I was ever going to record my own DC and I’m finally doing it with PS Classics. I am very excited about this project and am looking forward to doing something unique.”  Butler can be seen in “Xanadu” in New York City and also be prepared to buy her CD when it is released to the public.  Get your pair of Xanadu tickets today!
