November Starts in Winter This Year!

David Mamet’s new comedy called “November” officially opens on January 17.  Nathan Lane fills the role of the U.S. President and he is accompanied by Broadway stars Laurie Metcalf and Dylan Baker.  According to press notes from Playbill.com, “November is takes place just days before a major presidential election and it involves issues including: civil marriages, gambling casinos, lesbians, American Indians, presidential libraries, questionable pardons and campaign contributions.  Mamet offered further insight by saying, “It’s about he President of the United States who is about to get voted out of office.  He’s got one week left in office. He’s going to lose the election, and his approval rating is in the single digits.”

David Mamet is a Pulitzer Prize winner for his drama Glengarry Glen Ross.  His other works include: “Speed-the-Plow,” “The Cryptogram,” “American Buffalo,” “Sexual Perversity in Chicago” and “Romance,” among many other notable works.  It surely will leave audiences laughing and is certainly relevant to our current times.  November will play at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre.  Make sure to purchase your November tickets from Stubhub.com.
