Miriam Margolyes Gets Wicked

Tonight is the night that stage actress Miriam Margolyes re-creates her performance for New York audiences when she joins the Wicked cast on Broadway.  Margolyes received a Theatergoers’ Choice Award for her work in the West End “Wicked.”  She will assume the role of Madame Morrible.  She is a BAFTA Award winner for her notable work in “The Age of Innocence.”  She is also known for her performance as Professor Sprout in the “Harry Potter” films.  Some of her other stage credits include: “The Killing of Sister George,” “She Stoops to Conquer,” “The Importance of Being Earnest” and “Dickens’ Women.”
