Splashing in Tears

Carly Jibson, who will soon be seen in the new Broadway musical called “Cry Baby” will be performing solo at the Splash Bar tonight.  She is scheduled to perform a full set of theatre tunes following the weekly “Musical Monday” video presentations of Broadway performances.  Gibson is remembered for her Broadway debut in Hairspray as lead character Tracy Turnblad.  She played the role on the road during the first national touring company for nearly a year and generated a wide following of fans during this time.  Her return to Broadway is much anticipated among theatre patrons and previews for Cry-Baby will start March 15.

If you want to see a truly fabulous show presented by an exceptionally gifted actress, be sure to see her live onstage tonight at the Splash Bar.  Keep in mind that she will also dazzle you in the upcoming musical, Cry-Baby.  Cry-Baby is based on the 1990 John Waters movie which is a parody of teen musicals such as Grease, Elvis Presley movies and of 1950s ‘juvenile delinquent’ movies.  It is a great show that should keep you laughing and entertained throughout its entirety.  Be sure to get your Cry-Baby tickets from Stubhub.com.
