The epic story of Les Miserables will make the journey to Los Angeles this summer appearing at the famous Hollywood Bowl. The scheduled dates all take place in August, in the evening. According to a press release by the Hollywood Bowl, “An all-star cast and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra will bring you this sweeping story of love, passion and redemption.” Les Miserables is based on the classic novel by Victor Hugo. It was first presented by Cameron Mackintosh and The Royal Shakespeare Company at the Barbican Theatre in October of 1985. The musical has won eight 1987 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
In addition the Bowl is expecting other great acts this summer including: Julie Andrews: The Gift of Music; which will include songs from The Sound of Music, The King &I and Cinderella. There will also be an interactive musical evening called Sing-a-Long Sound of Music which will take place on September 19.
