Emma Hutton Joins Spring Awakening!

The actress Emma Hutton is scheduled to join the well known and well loved musical cast of “Spring Awakening” and her first performance is tonight.  Hutton, who is only 16 years old is the youngest cast member of the show, but she has quite a list of impressive references.  She has previously appeared in the national tour of “Les Miserables,” co-starred in “Distracted” and appeared in the film “Happy Endings.”  Hutton is going to replace Lauren Pritchard in the role of Ilse.  Pritchard is leaving the production to work on a forthcoming album.  While Pritchard makes her exit, Hutton describes her enthusiasm for being part of the musical on Playbill.com, “I can’t wait to go on.  When I first heard the music, I knew I was listening to something special, so to be part of this is thrilling.”

This is also Hutton’s Broadway debut and it is an engaging musical to be a part of.  “Spring Awakening” is based on the 1891 play by Frank Wedekind.  It has won eight 2007 Tony Awards, including one for Best Musical.  Some of the songs that are featured in the musical are: “All That’s Known,” “And Then Then There Were None,” “Mamma Who Bore Me” and “The Song of Purple Summer,” among many others.  The cast of the show recently won a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.  It’s obvious that the cast of this production is extremely talented and they are fortunate to have the added abilities of Emma Hutton!  Be sure not to miss this riveting play, you will not be disappointed.  Get your pair of Spring Awakening tickets from Stubhub.com.
