Broadway Welcomes In the Heights

Finally another fantastic show has hit the stage, much to delighted fans.  “In the Heights” officially opened last night at the Richard Rodgers Theater.  Fans had been very excited about the opening of this acclaimed musical and it will no doubt have a long run on Broadway.  The show boasts music and lyrics by Lin Manuel Miranda, a book by Alegria Hudes and it is directed by Thomas Kail.  According to press notes posted on Broadwayworld.com, “In the Heights is the quintessential New York musical about a vibrant and tight-knit community at the top of the island of Manhattan.  The music pulses with the hopes and dreams of three generations as they struggle to forge an identity in a neighborhood on the brink of transition.”

There are some fantastic photos of the musical as it takes place on stage and you can see by the choice of colors and the actors’ enthusiasm that this show will leave you wanting to get out of your seat to sing and dance along to all of the phenomenal beats that take place up on the stage.  Make sure that you don’t miss out on this musical that will leave your heart pumping.  Get your own pair of In the Heights tickets as soon as possible!
