Two stars from the hit musical, The Little Mermaid, will reportedly make their Town Hall debuts with “The Broadway Musicals of 1954.” Both Sierra Boggess and Sean Palmer will be present at the production. The event will take place on April 7 and will feature a sort of musical snapshot of 1954 with songs and dances from many different productions, including: “The Pajama Game,” Peter Pan,” “The Boyfriend,” “Fanny,” “The Golden Apple,” “House of Flowers” and many more. The show is set to be directed by Scott Coulter with musical direction by Ross Patterson. There will also be many other stars from Broadway productions, those stars include: Emily Skinner from “The Full Monty,” Cheyenne Jackson from “Xanadu,” and Noah Racey from “Curtains.”
The year 1954 was very important on Broadway because it definitively marked the debut of the composing team of Adler and Ross and their “Pajama Game.” This also happened to be the year that Julie Andrews made her famous Broadway debut in “The Boy Friend,” and Mary Martin made flying history with the hit show, “Peter Pan.” Be sure that you catch Boggess and Palmer in this special show and be sure to get your own pair of The Little Mermaid tickets as soon as possible.
