Macbeth Set to Open Tonight on Broadway!

If you are a fan of Shakespeare you might want to jump on the ball and see the murder filled tragedy Macbeth, which opens tonight on Broadway.  Patrick Stewart stars in the title role and will most likely put on a much heralded show.  Stewart plays Macbeth in Shakespeare’s well known bloody tragedy which, according to press notes posted on Playbill.com is about “a murderous general’s ascent to the throne with the aid of his plotting wife, portrayed by Kate Fleetwood.”  Previews began on March 29 and followed critically praised engagements at BAM and in the West End.  Macbeth runs through May 24.

Patrick Stewart has starred in the Broadway revival of Harold Pinter’s “The Caretaker.”  Some of his additional stage credits include “A Christmas Carol,” “The Ride Down Mt. Morgan” and the “The Tempest.”  Stewart is also well known for his screen work as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in “Star Trek” as well as his performances in the “X-Men” movies.  He is also scheduled to return to the RSC stage as Claudius in Hamlet later this year.  You will love his performances, so make sure to get your pair of Macbeth tickets from Stubhub.com.
