Young Frankenstein On Top of Outer Critics Circle Awards Nominations!

The nominees for the 58th annual Outer Critics Circle Awards were just recently announced on April 21 at the Algonquin Hotel in Manhattan. The Mel Brooks musical, Young Frankenstein, was lavished with the most nominations of any show, garnering ten nods. Some of the nods for Young Frankenstein include: “Outstanding New Broadway Musical,” “Outstanding New Score,” “Outstanding Director of a Musical,” “Outstanding Choreographer,” “Outstanding Set Design,” ” Outstanding Lighting Design,” “Outstanding Actor in a Musical,” and “Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical.”

Young Frankenstein has been a hit on Broadway with theater going patrons from around the world who continuously descend on the city to see the many featured musicals and plays on Broadway. The winners of the 2007-2008 Outer Critics Circle Awards will be announced the morning of May 12.
