A new musical is taking the stage on Broadway tonight. Glory Days is expected to do exceptionally well among theater patrons, especially among the younger generation of theater goers. Glory Days makes its start tonight at Broadway’s Circle in the Square Theatre. Previews for the musical started on April 22 to praise from both fans and critics alike. The writers of the show, Nick Blaemire, who is just 23 years old and James Gardiner, at only 24, are hoping that they can connect with a large audience with their intimate, 90 minute pop flavored musical about four high school buddies who re-unite one year after high school graduation to find that they no longer sing the same songs.
According to press notes posted on Playbill.com, Glory Days is “the story of four best friends who reunite a year after high school graduation, only to find how much they have grown apart. As they attempt to understand each other’s differences, they soon realize that nothing can compare to the glory days of high school when life was simpler. Set to a vibrant score, Glory Days is a witty, unflinching look at four guys who refuse to be defined by generational stereotypes as they struggle to find their place in the world.” Get your pair of Glory Days tickets!
