Little Shop of Horrors Announces New Cast!

Some new casting has been announced for the production of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman’s “Little Shop of Horrors.”  The play is scheduled to begin previews on June 4 and it has an official opening on June 8.  The cast is going to features some very talented actors that include: Jared Gertner, Darin DePaul, Badia Farha and Stacey Harris among many others.  The original production of “Little Shop of Horrors” first opened at the old WPA Theatre in Chelsea.  The musical has gained significant popularity over the years and is known for some very popular tunes like: “Suddenly Seymour,” “Downtown” and “Somewhere That’s Green.”

According to press notes posted on Playbill.com a short description of the musical is as follows: “Seymour is just a down-and-out clerk in a downtown flower shop, but things start to look up when he discovers an unusual plant…with an even more unusual appetite.”  If you want to see a truly unique and a bit bizarre show, be sure to get a hold of your own pair of Little Shop of Horrors tickets.
