Taylor Hicks Joins Grease!

The former American Idol contestant and eventual winner is making a significant leap to the stage on Broadway in the production of Grease.  This will be Taylor Hicks Broadway debut on Broadway and an excellent way to get his name out there in terms of his acting and his singing abilities.  Hicks was featured in Season Five and walked confidently away the winner of the contest.  He was quoted on Playbill.com as saying, “I am incredibly excited to be a part of one of my favorite musicals.  The Soul Patrol’s gonna invade Broadway!”  And we are all on the edge of our seats in anticipation of this much heralded event!

Grease, as we all know is a particularly popular musical that is also a film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John.  As noted in the press notes posted on Playbill.com, “After spending a hopelessly devoted summer with Sandy Dumbroski the new girl in town.  Danny Zuko’s world is thrown upside down when Sandy appears at Tydell High on the first day of school.  What follows is a rock n’ roll celebration of growin’ up, cruisin’ with friends and goin’ steady.”  Make sure that you sign up to see this high energy show that will soon feature a real American Idol.  Get your pair of Grease tickets!
