Revival of West Side Story To Begin Previews

The revival of the popular Broadway hit “West Side Story” is set to begin previews at a theater on Broadway on February 13, 2009.  The production will include will include the original choreography that is re-created by Joey McKneely.  No casting has been announced for the production, but fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of who exactly the performers will be.  It was said on Playbill.com that the production will “be radically different from any production ever done and contemporary to boot.”

West Side Story features a score by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim and the musical originally opened on Broadway at the Winter Garden Theatre on September 26, 1957.  The classic score features the hit songs such as “Tonight,” “America,” “Maria,” “I Feel Pretty” and “Somewhere.”  West Side Story is a great show that you can enjoy with all of your friends and family members, so make sure to jump on the chance to get your own pair of West Side Story tickets.
