A Warm Welcome to Rent

The Broadway hit musical is welcoming a new cast member to the stage today and her name is Eden Espinosa. Espinosa is known for having made her Broadway debut covering the roles of Elphaba and Nessarose in Wicked and she eventually took over the role of Elphaba on Broadway…jump starting her career in the theater world of New York City. Rent is the seventh longest running show in Broadway history and it will end its 12 year Broadway run on September 7 of this year.

Rent first opened on Broadway on April 29, 1996, after it wrapped up a sold out, extended engagement at Off Broadway’s New York Theatre Workshop. The popular musical won every major best musical award, including: the Tony Award, New York Drama Critics Circle Award, Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Award. It is one of few musicals to ever with the Pulitzer Prize for drama. Make sure to get your pair of Rent tickets before they all sell out.
