South Pacific Tops the Billboard Cast Albums Chart

The cast of the hit show South Pacific certainly has talent and they have shown that they can earn a spot on the Billboard Cast Albums Chart.  The theater revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific has resonated throughout the world and fans have clamored to get their own pair of tickets to see the much heralded production.  The CD also is recognized as making the number 59 on Billboard’s Top 200 list and placed second in overall internet sales.  The producers of South Pacific are David Caddick and David Lai the musical was recently nominated for 11 2008 Tony Award nominations including one for the Best Revival of a Musical.

Some of the tracks that are featured on this phenomenal CD are “Overture,” “A Cockeyed Optimist,” “Bloody Mary,” “My Girl Back Home,” “Wonderful Guy” and “This is How it Feels.”  All of the songs are well performed and the musical has been a smash hit on Broadway.  If you want to hear exceptional talent, be sure to pick up their CD and also make sure that you get your own pair of South Pacific tickets to see the show for yourself.
