Shrek World Premiere!

The world premiere of the hit musical Shrek is nearing at tickets to the show are going to go on sale on June 13.  The show is scheduled to take place at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theater.  Good news for all fans who are the first 100 people at the theater’s box office will be the lucky recipients of a set of Shrek ears.  The ensemble cast is full of talented actors and actresses including Brian d’Arcy James, Chester Gregory and John Tartaglia.

Shrek, according to press notes posted on Playbill.com “is an entirely new musical based on the story and characters from William Steig’s book ‘Shrek!’ as well as the Dreamworkds Animation film.”  Josh Prince is set to choreograph the production, which will feature musical direction by Tim Weil, with set and costume design by Tim Hatley.  This is a show that you can take the entire family to, so make sure to get your very own pair of Shrek the Musical tickets as soon as possible.
