Spring Awakening to Embark on National Tour

The popular show Spring Awakening will soon be featured in towns and cities across the country, much to the excitement of fans all over.  The Tony Award winning musical will appear at San Diego’s Balboa Theater on August 15 through the 31 before it heads to San Francisco for its official tour launch.  Some other engagements for the new tour include runs in Los Angeles, Boston, Philadelphia and St. Louis.  Casting for the tour will be announced soon and theater patrons eagerly await to see who will be stepping into the title roles.

Some of the most popular songs from the musical include: “All That’s Known,” “And Then There Were None,” “My Junk,” “Touch Me,” “Whispering” and “The Mirror-Blue Night.”  Spring Awakening’s cast album recently earned a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.  The hit musical made its world premiere Off-Broadway at the Atlantic Theater Company in June 2006.  If you are a fan of watching theatrical performances, be sure to get your own pair of Spring Awakening tickets.
