Passing Strange Set to Close

The Tony nominated Broadway production of Passing Strange that combines the electricity of a rock concert with the storytelling of musical theater is scheduled to play its final performance at the Belasco Theatre on July 20.  A statement released by Gerald Schoenfeld of The Shubert Organization was released on Playbill.com said, “We are extremely proud of Passing Strange and its many accomplishments on Broadway.  That Spike Lee will film the show is a crowning achievement and represents a milestone in the American musical theater.”

Passing Strange has been a huge success on Broadway and and currently the producers are looking to start a national tour.  The musical’s live original Broadway cast recording is currently available on the Ghostlight Records label, for all fans that are interested in hearing the magical sounds of the incredible show.  Make sure to get all of your friends and family members together to get your own pair of Passing Strange tickets.
