Mary-Louise Parker to Join Hedda Gabler Cast!

The actress, Mary-Louise Parker is set to star in a Broadway revival of Hedda Gabler.  Parker is a Tony-Award winner and will join the cast in January 2009 at the American Airlines Theater.  Other cast members have not been announced, but will be made known as the opening date of the production draws near.  Previews are so far scheduled to begin on January 6, 2009, with an official opening January 25, 2009.  Parker was last seen on the Broadway stage in the revival of Reckless.

According to press notes posted on Playbill.com, in Hedda Gabler, “the newly-wed Hedda Tesman finds herself bored with married life to her scholar husband, George Tesman.  As the daughter of General Gabler, she had grown accustomed to the freedom and exciting social world of her father’s home.  When her rival, Mrs. Elvsted, reenters her life with Hedda’s former lover, Eilert Lovberg in tow, Hedda sets out on a shocking path of destruction that affects the lives of everyone around her.”  Don’t miss the show, get your own pair of Hedda Gabler tickets as soon as possible.
