Are You Ready for A White Christmas?

Irving Berlin’s White Christmas is set to open at Broadway’s Marquis Theater on November 23 this year, which is the day before Thanksgiving.  Tickets go on sale tomorrow for American Express card members and will then be open for purchase for the the general public on September 21.  White Christmas is the musical comedy that is based on the Paramount film of the same name.  Performances around the nation will play through January 4, 2009.

According to the producers of the show, “Every holiday season, audiences of all ages enjoy the uplifting story of [the movie] White Christmas.  Now, a new generations will be able to experience this holiday tradition in a completely new way- live on stage.  With the Broadway arrival of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, the show is poised to become New York’s newest holiday tradition.”  According to press notes on Playbill.com, “the musical tells the story of two showbiz buddies who put on a show in a picturesque Vermont inn, and find their perfect mates- a sister act, no less-  in the bargain.”  Get your pair of White Christmas tickets from Stubhub.com.
