Harry Potter on Broadway

Daniel Radcliffe, the actor who became famous as Harry Potter “The Boy Who Lived” has branched out from the stage to the screeen, he is making the debut performance of the show Equus on Broadway this month. Equus has already had a wildly successful run on stage in London’s West End. Daniel Radcliffe will be playing alongside Richard Griffiths, who has provided excellent performance in Harry Potter as the snobbish and despicable Uncle Vernon. However, the two actors will be playing much different roles as Griffiths plays the psychiatrist who is analyzing the disturbed and yet generally mild-mannered stable boy Alan Strang.

Equus, as a show, has proven the incredible ability of Daniel Radcliffe as an actor and his immense commitment to his art. By staring in Equus the actor has successfully crossed over the line, separating himself from what could have become the stereotyped role of Harry Potter into something much deeper.
