Scarlett Strallen and Adam Fiorentino in Mary Poppins

Scarlett Strallen and Adam Fiorentino will be starring as Mary Poppins and Bert in the hit Broadway musical Mary Poppins, starting on Thursday, October 9, 2008. They will be replacing the original stars Ashley Brown and Gavin Lee, who will be headlining the greatly anticipated North American Tour. The tour will be starting on March 11, 2009 at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago.

Strallen has already had experience with the musical, having starred in the same role in the London West End production in the fall of 2005, returning to the part in the spring of 2007. She earned a Lawrence Olivier nomination in 2006 for her performance as Josephine in the New Shakespeare Company’s  production of HMS Pinafore.

Adam Fiorentino, who will be playing Bert, had his stage debut in the Australian tour of The Boy From Oz, at 17. He also won critical acclaim, originating the role of Tony Manero in the Australian Premier of Saturday Night Fever and then reprising the role in London’s West End.
