Further Honors for In The Heights

Into the Heights, which already won the Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Original Score and Best Orchestrations on June 15, 2008. On September 10, Actor’s Equity announced that the show has now won the ACCA Award for Outstanding Chorus. It seems like there is no stopping this incredible show and its amazing cast. The show passed up Xanadu, Cry-Baby, and South Pacific to win this award; and there seems to be no stopping it now.

On Tuesday, September 16, Barnes & Noble got in the action. Their store at Lincoln Square hosted performances and a CD signing by the cast. The musical’s composer and star performer Lin-Manuel Miranda has also been honored at the Drama Bookshop in Manhattan, where he recently hosted An Evening with Charles Strous on September 5.
