Elle Woods is Leaving Broadway

Legally Blonde, the story that first entered the public consciousness in 2001 movie staring Reese Witherspoon has now been winning awards as a hit Broadway Musical. The musical has won seven Tony Award Nominations, ten Drama Desk Award Nominations and a 2007 Outer Critic’s Circle Award. The chorus for the musical was awarded the first ever Actor’s Equity Association’s Advisory Committee on Chorus Affairs (ACCA) Award.

All in all the musical has had a magnificent run on the Broadway stage, and recently set out for its national tour. This is excellent news for fans living in other parts of the US, even though the show is going to be leaving Broadway with its last show on October 19th, there will still be many opportunities to see it live on stage. From Baltimore to West Palm Beach the show will be traversing the US with what promises to be an excellent series of performances lasting well into 2009, with all the glory of Broadway.
