Opening of “Third Story” on Broadway

Charles Busch has created yet another ingenious hodgepodge of theatrical happenstance in The Third Story. The play, about a woman named Peg, who has left the world of glamour to visit her son, Drew. Drew is a playwright who has retired from the public world to become a mailman, working alongside his father.

It unfolds that Peg is actually a playwright, who is down on her luck and is hoping to convince her son to help her write a new play. Despite his disinterest, Peg constantly throws ideas at her son, and eventually unearths an old manuscript of his that he had hidden in a drawer. The play stars Charles Busch, Kathleen Turner, Scott Parkinson, Sarah Rafferty, Jonathan Walker, and Jennifer Van Dyck. The Third Story tickets are availabel today, at StubHub.com.
