Miskys Is Going to Broadway

Miskys is new musical by Charles Strouse, is currenlty playing at the Ahmanson Theater in Los Angeles, California. The musical tells the story of Billy Minsky, currently being played by Christopher Fitzgerald, who is struggling to keep his house of burlesque open. The play takes place during the depression era of the 1930s, and has actually been headed towards the stage for quite some time. The musical has also gradually moved away fromt the original inspiration, the 1968 film The Night They Raided Minsky’s.

Billy Minsky’s family business of burlesque shows, involving strip-tease and comedy palaces, were raided throughout the first three decades of the 20th Century. The musical is big, racy and romantic, everything you could possibly want from a romantic comedy musical! The show stars Chritopher Fitzgerald in the title role of Billy Minsky, who is in for a big surprise.
