The Broadway production of Chicago is now welcoming Tom Wopat back in the role of slick city lawyer Billy Flynn. He will be joining a cast that includes Charlotte d’Amboise as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Carol Woods as Matron “Mama” Morton, Scot Davidson as Roxie’s husband Amos, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine. Wopat will be joining the musical in its 13th year, the musical celebrated its 12th anniversary on November 14, 2008. The musical won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical in 1997, as well as awards for actors Bebe Neuwirth and James Naughton, Walter Bobbie won the award for Best Director, Ken Billington won lighting design, and Ann Reinking won an award for her incredible choreography.
