Impressionism Opens Tonight

Michael Jacobs new play, Impressionism, opens tonight at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on Broadway. The play began previews February 28th. The stars of the play are Joan Allen who plays art gallery owner Katherine Keenan and Jeremy Irons, as photographic journalist Thomas Buckle. During the play the two people swap stories at their workplace, as they begin to discover each other and the art of repairing broken lives. When Thomas arrives at Katherine’s gallery he is a heartbroken man, who recently tried to save a young boy in Africa, but was unable to do so. Both characters are emmotionally paralysed, but what they find in each other may be the redemption that they both so desperately need.

Impressionism is a great play, but the incredible jacobs, and with two shining stars at the helm it is no wonder that it is already highly anticipated. Also starring in the play are Andre De Shields, Hadley Delaney, Aaron Lazar, Margarita Levieva, Marsha Manason, and Michael T. Weiss. The play has already received some respect on Broadway, and fans of Alan and Irons will be pleased to know that Impressionism tickets are currently available from now through July 5th at StubHub.com.
