Irena’s Vow Opening on Sunday

Irena’s Vow is a new play on Broadway that will be opening on Sunday the play will be starring Tovah Feldshuh. Feldshuh’s performance of Golda’s Balcony became the longest-running one-woman show in the history of Broadway. It began previews on October 3, 2003, opened on October 15 and closed on January 2, 2005, playing a total of 493 performances. Tovah’s current play is based on the true story of Irene Gut Opdyke  a woman who risked her own life during WW II in order to save 12 Jews from being killed. The story is a heart-wrenching tale of one young woman’s battle through WW II, and how her bravery eventually brought her to America.

The part of Irene, beautifully performed by Feldsuh, will be beginning previews on Sunday, March 29th, at the the Walter Kerr Theatre at 6:30pm. The story that is being told is both historic and wonderful, a must-see performance, that audiences everywhere will definitely enjoy. This incredible play is one that every fan of theater, and especially every fan of Feldshuh, will want to see over and over again.
