Earlier this week we reported on the several presenters that were recently added to the lineup for next month’s Tony Awards telecast, and now more exciting news has been released - the performers for the June 7 affair. Announced this morning were the several performers set to take the stage during the 63rd Annual Tony Awards, and several Tony-nominated musicals and musical revivals will be included in this Broadway frenzy, including performances from Billy Elliot: The Musical; Guys and Dolls; Hair; Next to Normal; Pal Joey; Rock of Ages; Shrek: The Musical; and West Side Story. The touring productions of Jersey Boys, Legally Blonde: The Musical and Mamma Mia! will also make cameos at the upcoming Tony Awards, making for one explosive awards show.
The 2009 Tony Awards are taking place at Radio City Musical Hall, and this year will mark the first time that the Tony Awards can be seen live from New York, as the awards show will be simulcast in Times Square on the Clear Channel Spectacolor HD Screen from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday, June 7. Spectator seating will be available in Duffy Square.
